Play Nicely was asked by Aardman Digital to produce this video demonstrating a system for the BBC that would allow users to select and read texts online with the added capabilities of annotation and sharing notes with other users.
Subtext was one of the first projects originating from the Learning Development team of the BBC, and effectively answered a call for a social media project that could engage one or several of their core audiences.
The demo video proved so successful was the concept and visualisation that it was later turned into a fully working Flash application.
